Memories
Oloi Shorua photography — Africa, Arabia and the journeys in between.
Oloi Shorua photography was never a separate project. It happened the way most things happen on a safari — naturally, in the field, as a consequence of being present in a place long enough to notice what it was doing. A particular quality of light on the Luangwa at five in the morning. The way a desert changes colour in the last minutes before dark. The stillness of a waterhole before the elephant arrive.
Consequently, what accumulated across decades of journeys through Africa and Arabia is not a portfolio. It is an archive — the visual record of places encountered slowly and returned to often.

Oloi Shorua Photography on YouTube
The Oloi Shorua YouTube channel carries film and photography from across the journeys — East Africa, Southern Africa, Arabia and beyond. Game drives at dawn. Landscapes at dusk. The in-between moments that define what travel through these environments actually feels like.
The channel updates regularly as new journeys produce new material. Subscribe to follow the archive as it grows.
